Texas Best Lobbying News of the 83rd Legislative Session: HB 44
House Bill No. 44 would opt to rename the current “Texas Emerging Technology Fund” to the “Texas Research Technology Fund”. Some of the many applicable fields include energy, aerospace, information, medicine, semiconductors and petroleum refining. House Bill No. 44 also further elaborates upon defining the fields, division of responsibilities, confidentiality, and distribution. The bill was just recently filed on the 6th of June 2013, and has yet to see any more movement. It was authored by Representative John Davis.
