Texas Best Lobbyist News: Governor Perry Notes Texas’ Low Taxes
On September 18th of 2013, Governor Rick Perry traveled to Maryland to spread the word about Texas’s fantastic business climate. Texas has been seeing rapid population growth in the last few years. Many businesses are expanding in, and moving to, the lone star state. Low taxes on businesses coupled with minimalist regulation give businesses large and small plenty of growing room. Governor Perry has been running radio and television ads across the country, promoting the state to businesses and individuals alike. Maryland is the latest to receive these advertisements. No state tax dollars are being used to fund these ads, or Governor Perry’s travel expenses.
