Texas Best Lobbyist 83rd Legislative Session Update: HB 1023

House Bill No. 1023 would require Health and Human Services Commission to create a task force assigned to make official recommendations in regards to mental health workforce shortages in the state. This recommendation must be submitted to the governor, lieutenant governor, speaker of the house, and all appropriate legislative committees. This report has a deadline of September 1st 2014, and the House Bill No. 1023 takes effect a year prior. There are no major fiscal implications expected on local or state levels.
