Texas Best Lobbying Updates: Gov. Perry Announcement on Creation of Texas A&M University Branch Campus in Israel
On his recent trip to Israel, Governor Rick Perry spoke about his love for his alma mater, Texas A&M. Earlier this year, Texas A&M announced the further expansion of their branch campuses. They are creating the “Center for Cell and Organ Biotechnology”, which is anticipated to make huge advancements in the medical field. The center is a result of the efforts and collaboration between the Texas Heart Institute and and the A&M College of Veterinary Science and Biomedical Sciences.
Governor Perry expressed seeing a remarkable similarity in Texas A&M and Israel, namely through a defined sense of community and in values.
“With what I’ve experienced as an Aggie, and what I’ve seen during my travels in Israel, I know this partnership represents an exceptionally good fit for both parties. In both Israel and in Texas, family, commitment and tradition are the bedrock upon which communities are built. And, starting now, we’re building a new community together.”
